Question:

Parking in Manchester?

I'm going to the Foo Fighters Gig on 2nd June and am struggling to find parking close enough that doesn't cost a fortune. I know there is an ASDA across the road, is it easy to walk from the ASDA to the stadium and what are the parking restrictions at the store during events?

Any help would be greatfully recieved, Cheers

  1. get there early and park at the hsbc up the main road, if thats full, which it will be if you leave it too late as its tiny, park on the main road or take the next right and park there, its probably the closest you can get to the stadium for free parking

  2. on match and event days ur not allowed to park in the asda for longer that an hour and a half. not even if ur going in the asda.

there will be plenty of off road parking available that you cant prebook (anything between 5 and 10 quid) or you could drive down to clayton or droylsden and park outside someones house and walk or catch the bus (take 5 mins) back to the stadium. I live in droylsden and people do that alot. Just try and get there early.

I shall be working for the foos on merch for that gig, so come give us a wave! and enjoy the show especially the manics!

  3. ASDA car parks have a maximum stay of 4 hours and a £40 fine if you overstay your welcome usually

  4. ..

  5. You could try the link below - it's more suited to long term parking but some people may be willing to rent out their space for a day:
