Question:

Parking near the railway station in Leeds?

Driving into Leeds tomorrow morning, and don't know it at all. I've checked the internet and there are three or four car parks shown near the station but I can't tell if they are likely to have spaces. Can anyone recommend one in that area? Don't mind the cost, its a one-off trip, just don't want to be hunting for hours.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I live in Leeds. It easier i find to park on the road side near the big Halifax building or in the carparks nearby it. They are near the grovenor casino and merrion centre. Its quite expensive on weekdays but u can get upto 6 hours. Its easier to park there and walk about 5mins to the station than trying to find a parking spot in leeds. The parking spots r on the bridge, coming through little london via meanwood road.

  2. We live south of Leeds and go there via the M1/M621.  As we enter Leeds, and before we get too close to the station, over to the left there is a bus lane and a set of traffic lights.  We turn left there and there are two or three car parks which charge 50p an hour or £3 all day...from there it is just a short walk up to the station.  You may have to get there before 9am though as they are quite popular.  As you can imagine, Leeds is a very busy place and most car parks get full quite early though we have always managed to find a space.

  3. There are several clearly marked car parks around Leeds station, including an obvious NCP one. If money's no object then you won't be hunting for hours- just a few minutes as long as you don't get confused by the one-way system.
