Question:

Parking ticket in Italy?

I received a parking ticket while travelling in Italy last year. I live in Australia. Few days ago I received a letter from the police but I can not read Italian therefore I don't know how to pay for it (can not even find the address of the police station). Can anyone let me know what are the procedures for the overseas travellers in Italy and fines? I want to go back to Italy one day with clear status.

Many thanks

  1. www.freetranslation.com

    for  starters

just to get the gist of your ticket.

once you sort out the address mail the letter back with one of your own explaining(in english) that you were visiting and want to clear the ticket up. also try an embassy near you if possible, they will most likely waive the ticket since you were only visiting and it wasnt a serious crime

  2. don't Italy have an Embassy or Consulat in Australia???

That would be the first thing to contact.

  3. Post your ticket lingo on here. I will translated for you.

If you got it with a rental car, they might not let you rent from them again.
