  1. first you have to decide if you want to do parkour ("only" running) or free running (running and doing flips, saltos and tricks in the air)

i would suggest you parkour, if youre not able to do flips and such things.

first thing to begin, is searching a good spot, where there are various high and low walls, possibly with grass around so you dont hurt yourself (try looking in a nearby park)

tip: you have to be motivated, go to youtube and search for parkour videos

second: dress comfortably. you have to wear good shoes with a good sole, like running shoes from nike.

for the pants, i would suggest some tracksuit pants, not too large, and not too tight.

third: search people. you can also practicate parkour alone, but its funnier if you have parkour-friends, maybe for a little competition or so... it motivates like h**l

for the beginning thats all i think

  2. hi,

everyone has the wrong idea for parkour and free running. free running ,parkour, art de deplacement and yamakasi are all the same thing. the media got mixed up when there were making documentaries people think that free running is back-flips wall spins and all that but it isn't that's "free styling" traceurs do it for fun. no it isn't parkour but who cares  it isn't parkour but its fun free running is the English translation for parkour

    its the medias fault!!!!!!!!!!!

learn yourself for the first 6 months doing vaults, precisions, under-bars, gaps, cat leaps, cat balances, pull-UPS, sit-ups muscle ups, you name it!!

when u are ready explore your area for new places, bars and walls .

watch videos on the Internet. you learn from falling so think positive after if u can join a parkour team or club

    have fun
