Parkwest Angel sets aside the 11 to 10 favourite, Ballyhill Becky, in order to claim the Bags Track Championship 2011 b*****s at Monmore
Perhaps the closest battle for the winner’s spot was during the Bags Track Championship 2011 b*****s, where the two rushing for the wire were at a head’s distance.
Hove’s trainer C Gardiner’s entry, Parkwest Angel made it to the wire in 29.00 seconds, while Belle Vue representative, Ballyhill Becky rushed in 29.01 seconds, a whisker away from causing a dead heat situation.
Ballyhill Becky sent off as the 11 to 10 favourite for the race, did try her level best to corner the winner but could not really manage it. In third place, P Cowdrill trained Sportium Rozas, who missed the runner up’s place by 1 ¼ lengths and covered the
track distance in 29.11 seconds.
Hall Green trainer, Pat Sallis had his entry Princess Madison finishing the race in 29.21 seconds. She was followed by A Ingram’s Scobys Cookie, who took 29.35 seconds to make it to the wire.
Parkwest Angel, daughter of Kinloch Brae out of Liaise With Lisa born in January 2010, broke from the second stall and quickly found her stride. Cramped for space, Parkwest Angel, in fourth had to rely on speed in order to make it to the wire before the
rest. This was her eighth victory from nineteen career starts.
Predominantly raced at Hove, Parkwest Angel’s participation ranges from Grade A9 to A4, but she has also displayed her talent at Monmore, Poole, Crayford and Romford.
Parkwest Angel last won the Bags Track Championship 2011 Southern Region Puppy on 1st December against the 5 to 4 favourite for the race, Droopys Roulette. Her very first victory was at Hove on 14th August when she participated in a
Grade A9 on a 515 metre track and won the prize money worth £104.
Apart from finishing fifth and sixth on a few occasions, Parkwest Angel has been finishing on the money consistently, and with the Bags Track Championship under her belt, she has shown potential for stardom and the one to look out for in future races.
