  1. try gently to put your hand close enough & see if she will step onto it...in time, the more you do this...the more relaxed she will be.

then, you could leave the door open & let her come out...but make sure you are around as she might fly into a window or something.

  2. You can use a perch held in the cage just in front of the birds feet gently nudging him to encourage him to "step up" onto it. This is probably one of the first things birds are taught. As you and the bird both get used to one another you could substitute your  hand for the perch. Good luck!!

  3. you can leave the door open,or u could hold her favourite treat in one hand and hold out your other arm and say jump on,even if she dosnt step on but shows an interest give her the treat, each time holding the treat further away until she steps on. dont take her straight out of the cage on your arm other wise she might get spooked. do it gradually and when she i more confident she should move up your arm and want to  come out. always reward her with a treat for being good and say very over the top good girl! or boy! it takes time but always be patient, good luck hun

  4. leave the cage open, so she can get used to the idea of coming out, if you do put you hand in keep it lower then her, as parrots feel thretened if you hand is above them, be patient and be carefull the bites can be really painful!!

  5. that is the best thing to do let her come to you. DON'T stick your hand in the cage the bird will be frightened and may bite. If u just recently got the bird it may still need time to stetal in to the new enviroment. (some birds take long to adjust in to new enviroment(just like u moving in to a new house maybe stressful).

  6. I would have to say that letting your bird come out on her own would be best, she will climb back inside when she is ready. I have an Amazon and this has been the best thing for her, but keep in mind that every bird is different. You could try putting your hand in their to see what happens, but if she bites or runs from you, just let her be. It may take months for her become comfotable and trusting enough to step up on you, but it is well worth the wait. Just be patient it will happen. I have had my Amazon since September and just in the last week has she started to step up on mine and my dad's shoulder, for like two seconds, and she will also steup onto our legs if we are sitting level with the cage. We have to use a treat of course, but it is working. We are working on not giving her as many treats and just using praise. don't give up, it will happen.
