My parrotlet, age 2, is starting to act very aggressive. He is out of his cage 2-5 hours per day. What is causing this agressive behaviour and how can we stop it?

  1. It's pissed off that it's in the cage for 19-20 hours a day maybe!

Also, it thinks that the word Parrotlet is stupid. That makes it mad too.

  2. well it may just be this time of year, parrots do get like that around this season. and is he just let free or do you actually spend time with him, that makes a difference as well.

males are more agressive and less "cuddly" than females too.

  3. Parrotlets seem to be cage aggressive esspessially at breeding season which is ussually spring and summer. Also if it is male that might be why, females are more laid back. Well sometimes there attitude changes with breeding season, they get more cage aggressive and if you have other birds they kinda get aggressive tords you and them.
