Parrots and copper?

Question

Has anyone heard whether chewing on copper will be harmful to psittacines? I have a piece of jewelry (a copper wrist cuff, about an inch wide) that I would like to wear to work. There seems to be no way for any bits to be gnawed off, but I'm dealing with medium-sized birds with very powerful beaks and don't want to take any chances. References would be appreciated.

well when i was shopping for some toys for my bird i saw a swing that was made out of wood and copper so i dont think it wood be harmful
