Part 1: Experts Predictions for the weekend
The first round of the English Premier League came to an end on Monday night. Their were quite a few predictable and a whole lot of unpredictable events that occurred during the course of those three opening days of matches.
There were no surprises when Manchester United and Chelsea ran riot in their opening games. There were also no surprises when the likes of, Ryan Giggs, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba all made the score sheets in their opening games, in fact some might say it was what needed to be done.
However their were a few shocks in store. Blackpool's four nil thrashing of Wigan was something that came out of the blue. Also both the debutant's seeing red in the Arsenal, Liverpool clash was hardly something that could have been predicted.
Here is a look at what the expert's have predicted for week two of the matches that are set to take place in the English Premier League.
Arsenal are known to be a pretty technically gifted team, they also however have some weaknesses. When things are going Arsenal's way its almost like watching exhibition football. However when they aren't things are just terrible for the team.
The recent signing of players like Marouane Chamakh, seems to the kind of changes that the team needed to make, to break that curse or way of things at The Emirates.
The powerful striker, has great physical presence and the ability to hold the ball up, against almost any opposition out there. For a team that usually tends to try and walk the ball in the back of the goal, the sight of seeing Chamakh force Reina to put the ball into the back of his own goal, was something of a fresh look at how things could also be done. It was a way of scoring that was completely forgotten around the stadium. Players and fan's alike had forgotten that there were other ways of scoring a goal rather then scoring the perfect goal.
If Chamakh can develop his abilities and talents even further at Arsenal then things will just seem to get better for Arsenal. Chamkah unlike the rest of the Arsenal squad, does not suffer from recurring injuries nor has he ever been injured for long terms during the course of a season. It is this along with his ability that sets him apart from the rest of the team at Arsenal.
Arsenal are scheduled to be taking on Blackpool this coming weekend. Arsenal will be on the back of a very disappointing game, where as Blackpool will be heading into the game after a surprise four nil thrashing of Wigan. A trip to The Emirates could result in very different outcomes for both the teams according to experts. Chamkah is more than likely to have a spectacular home debut, most experts are saying that the Moroccan striker is sure to score at least two goals in the game. Which mean's that Blackpool will be forced to learn the hard way that, fairy tales are only short lived in the top flight of English football.
The final prediction for the match score is set to be, four nil in Arsenal's favor. This out come would give a great boost to the team, that is in desperate need of some good news. It could also give the team the early winning start that they require in order to launch a successful title challenge this season.
