A late equalizer by Riethar found it hard for Rekordmeister to capitalize as Wolfsburg drew for the seventh consecutive time in the German Bundesliga. There were two penalties missed along with two goals that were disallowed during the 1-1 thriller that
took place between the two German Giants. Thomas Kraft saved a penalty taken by Grafite while Thomas Mueller and Sascha Riethar found themselves on the scoreboard for each of the two sides. The game ended in a 1-1 draw as the German Champions failed to make
a statement against Wolfsburg and couldn’t make their superiority count.
The game started off with Bayern Munich taking control of it. The German Champions took the lead in a very odd manner as a goalkeeping howler helped Munich with the first goal. The new Bayern Munich goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Kraft-c34971 launched the ball from the goal
kick spot and the Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio saw Simon Kjaer leaving the ball for him. The Swiss number 1 decided to shoot it clear. However, the German youngster Thomas Mueller got in his way and the deflected shot found the back of the net - definitely
a bizarre goal to start the game off.
Wolfsburg were under pressure of Louis Van Gaal’s Bayern Munich but they did finally make themselves count towards the end of the game. The home team totally thrashed Bayern Munich’s chances of sharing the third spot in the German Bundesliga as they drew
the game with only four minutes remaining. The new Wolfsburg captain found it easy to cut the midfielder Bastian Shweinsteiger on the left flank. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sascha-Riether-c32598 who shot the ball in the net from close
range and made no mistake to put his side on level terms.
Der Rekordmeister had the opportunity to double the lead in the 21st minute when Daniel Pranjic was taken down by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashkan-Dejagah-c6806 in the penalty area. The awarded penalty was taken by the captain Phillip Lahm who decided to shoot it towards the
right hand side of Diego Benaglio. Even though the Bayern Munich captain managed to beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Benaglio-c11085, the ball struck the post as it bounced outside for a goal kick.
Soon, he French winger Frank Ribery saw himself being injured as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 decided to take his place on the pitch as Ribery looked to be going out of action for a considerable
period of time.
The dramatic moments of the game only started with Frank Ribery leaving the pitch. Wolfsburg were simply left shouting at the referee M. Grafe as he disallowed the goal scored by Diego on a free kick. The ball looked as if it  found the net without anyone
touching it but the referee thought that Cicero was interfering with play and was in an offside position. With that goal disallowed, Wolfsburg raised their spirits and later headers from Dejagah and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Grafite-c15198 almost found the back of the net for the home team.
