  1. It's about a forbidden love.

'You try to pull me away

but you don't know the truth"

    obey your parents, leona

  2. omg get over it kids dont even care about what songs say they just like them...shseesh it could be about dog c**p and cookies theyd still like it and sing it

and i dont think its about suicide....its a figure of speach...

  3. if you don't like the songs that they put on kids bop don't by the cd...

and really the song is about being in love and how it hurts when your family or friends don't support you.

  4. kids don't care they just sing it they don't think of what the deeper meaning of it is.

  5. I didn't understand why a lot of songs were put on Kidzbop. Personally, I think kidzbop is the stupidest thing ever.

Anyways, I think that the kids don't even know what it means.

Kidzbop ruins perfectly good songs sung by good singers.

  6. oh kids dont even realise what its about

  7. kids dont understand what she is saying come on! Would u understand it if u were a child!

  8. I don't belive it's a suicide song. I believe it's a metaphoric translation, of being in a relationship with a broken heart.

"you cut me open" I don't think it's meant litterally...but more as a description of saying "you rip my heart out" per say. I don't know for sure. I could be dead wrong. Pulling up the lyrics, I could see it meaning either. So I don't know. The girl has one heck of a voice though...thats for sure.

Edit* I don't think it's appropriate for kids, in the translation you take it as.  I don't know what the song is meant to mean for sure. If it's about love, while having your heart broken by the one you love, and going through the motions with that. Then it isn't any different than songs old and new. I don't see where it would be damaging to anyone who heard it. No more damaging than "rock a by baby, on a tree top" nursery ryme...that goes on to include "the cradle will fall, down will come baby, cradle and all". So if theres going to be judgment on songs...half the nursery rymes can be taken as inappropriate as well.

  9. I have always said it. kidz bop brain washes children.

  10. For one thing- that song is not about actual bleeding. My 10 year old (hates the song BTW) knows that it is a metaphor. I'm quite sure my 5 year old does, too! I'm sorry but my kids are smart- they know reality vs metaphor. I don't mind that song and I think it's *clean.*

Here is the lyrics:Closed off from love

    I didn't need the pain

    Once or twice was enough

And it was all in vain

    Time starts to pass

Before you know it you're frozen

    Ooooh...

    But something happened

For the very first time with you

My heart melted into the ground

    Found something true

    And everyone's looking 'round

    Thinking I'm going crazy

    Chorus:

But I don't care what they say

    I'm in love with you

They try to pull me away

But they don't know the truth

My heart's crippled by the vein

    That I keep on closing

You cut me open and I

    Keep bleeding

    Keep, keep bleeding love

    I keep bleeding

    I keep, keep bleeding love

    Keep bleeding

    Keep, keep bleeding love

    You cut me open

    Oooh, oooh...

    Trying hard not to hear

    But they talk so loud

Their piercing sounds fill my ears

Try to fill me with doubt

Yet I know that their goal

Is to keep me from falling

    Hey, yeah!

    But nothing's greater

Than the rush that comes with your embrace

And in this world of loneliness

    I see your face

    Yet everyone around me

    Thinks that I'm going crazy

    Maybe, maybe

    Chorus:

But I don't care what they say

    I'm in love with you

They try to pull me away

But they don't know the truth

My heart's crippled by the vein

    That I keep on closing

You cut me open and I

    Keep bleeding

    Keep, keep bleeding love

    I keep bleeding

    I keep, keep bleeding love

    Keep bleeding

    Keep, keep bleeding love

    You cut me open

****It means "oozing" love or giving love .. ****

  11. That song is so annoying!!!

My 6yr old heard it on the radio in the car and asked " is she saying she keeps bleeding ?"

I said yes, and before I could say anything else he answered

" well she should get a band-aid and be quiete about it! this song is dumb!"

I just replied... "yes, its sure is"

    LOL!:')

  12. I just read the lyrics.  I do NOT think it is about suicide.  I think it is about being in love.  THe person she loves is maybe not the best for her, maybe abusive, or maybe he just broke her heart, but she loves him anyways.  Her family/friends try to pull her away from him, but she is soo much in love that she cant bear to be without him.

I looked at the website and it looks like it is for tweens, or early teens.  That is about the typical age that kids start romanticising emotional pain.
