In the first half, Real Madrid wasted a lot of chances and it was the Argentinean striker, Angel Di Maria, who wasted the best opportunity of the game.
It was Cristiano Ronaldo who got past four Almeria defenders and shot the ball on Diego Alves’ goal. The Argentinean striker Angel Di Maria only had to slot in the ball from 12 yards out but he failed to do so and looped the ball high in the air which was

Even though the shot was blocked it was definitely a chance worth taking but Real Madrid decided to go on a break.
