Part 2: Greatest Premier League Team Of All Time - as voted by the fans
After a global scale vote, in which hundreds of thousands of fans of the English Premier League voted to pick their favourite players, the ultimate dream team finally emerged. The team is dominated by players from Manchester United, while boasting a French
attacking line up.
Midfield
The midfield was going to be one of the hardest areas to pick four players for, however after hundreds of thousands of votes, there was finally a list of names who would fill up those four spots. The players that the fans chose to play in the midfield are
David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard and Ryan Giggs.
David Beckham was selected to play on the right side of midfield. However most people assumed that Ronaldo would be the player who would win the opportunity to play in that spot. Beckham came to the footballing world like a new fad. In almost a fortnight
his name was everywhere, Beckham became the most talked about and well known footballer of all time in almost an instant and this rise to fame seemed to happen almost overnight.
The player is most well known for his ability to bend the ball beyond human limits and this makes his set pieces the most deadliest in the world. The player soon became captain of England and this only added to his likability factor. Beckham was almost being
worshiped in some parts of the world.
Beckham was not one of the fastest players around but, he definitely had the technique that made him a world class player, the best display of his technique and footballing ability was displayed when he went on to score a goal all the way from the half way
line. The midfielder got the ball a few yards behing the half way line to the right side of the pitch, he looked up and spotted the keeper off his line and without even thinking twice, he whipped in a shot that went over the keeper but dipped right under the
bar. Most players wouldn’t have even thought of trying to pull that off, however Beckham was well aware of the fact that he is one of the very few players in the world who could pull something like that off with ease.
Beckham made his debut for the United team as a seventeen year old way back in 1992 and went on to be a part of the squad all the way till 2003. He won the Premier League title a total of six times with the team during this spell, the FA Cup twice and the
UEFA Champions League in 1999. He was also part of the prestigious United side that went on to lift the treble.
Beckham never managed to win the FIFA World Player of the year award, however he was runner up to the award on two separate occasions.  He also became the first British footballer to appear in over a hundred Champions League games.
Beckham left the United team to go join Real Madrid in 2003, however his legacy was not forgotten and will quite possibly never be forgotten in the future, Beckham is forever going to be a legend at Old Trafford.
