  1. I can not answer this question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

  2. I think an educated public would be a good first start.

Since Venezuela provides free education to all of it's citizens up to a doctoral degree maybe the U.S. that likes to call itself the richest country in the world (we are actually the country with the largest debt) maybe we should start with free education for every citizen.

I think alternative energy (wind, solar, geothermal, hydro) would also be good ideas but there needs to be laws forbidding oil companies from controlling the majority of these energy companies before they will start to be used in any real major way.

  3. You assume there will be a collapse. Your question is thus quite loaded. Socialism, more than any other factor will cause a decline in the power and health of our civilization.

It is a creeping, insidious thing, this neo-socialism. Socialism is  an anathema to freedom and the salient pillar of our civilization is freedom and liberty.  Many will need an 'inner awakening'  to avert a hideous degradation of our economy and society by this creeping, neo-socialism.

  4. They already have started this in Europe, with the so-called SCHENGEN.

  5. You are right because every civilization ends. I believe it will end once we run out of energy (oil elctricity) overpopulation war disease or global warming its hard to predict but there will be an end but before the end i believe there will be may collapses and emrgings but one day we wont recover from a collapse i beleive our civilization will be very long and end when humans become extinct or on the brink of extinction maybe a another meteor

  6. I would say that aversion would be an impossibility considering the conditions that exist today in our once great country.

Long story short, we have the uninformed masses being led  by, who some perceive to be, the village Idiot.

Wasn't it Nostradamus who proclaimed in one of his many century quatrains that, " In the new world ( USA ) the village idiot shall step forward to lead the people? Anyone need any hints?

Show me a way around that. The communist party proclaimed to the USA years ago they would bury us from the inside.

Take a hard look at what our school systems are producing today, most have IQ's lower than whale S - - t  and that is on the bottom of the ocean. It has become cool and hip to be a looser and their security is good old mom and dad, and when that meal ticket runs out, then it's good old Uncle Sam to the rescue and that is of course paid for by the good taxpayers of America.  Our once great country is well on it's  way to poverty level with the present economic conditions

So I suspect our collapse has already begun and with our economy already in a recession, and heading for a quick depression that will surely rival and dwarf the great depression of the past and make it look like like a Sunday school picnic.

Good people are losing their homes on a daily basis with unemployment soaring. Many cannot afford to fill their tank to go to work. I am sure there is a good positive side somewhere, however I am failing to see it.

Not a speaker of doom but rather conveyor of fact based reality. Is anyone listening, it is in the air as we speak but sad to say, no one wants to listen and hear what is about to be with some of it already here and the rest is on the way.

  7. This is starting in small ways already. Led from Germany, communities are being built using micro-generation plants. Instead of 6 major power plants in a country, and miles of inneficient cables (Power stations burn 6x more coal to boil a kettle than you would);Smaller communities have their own, and use the waste heat for home heating (instead of blowing it out of coolin towers). This in turn will lead to separate towns being totally self sufficient for most things. In a sense, everything becomes local.

There is no reason why a community cannot trade in Acorns or Aikens instead of cash - and bring back the barter system!

I am a member of our Letts community - exchanging labour for local goods. There is no VAT or tax on barter! - unless they want to collect eggs or have me mend something!

  8. By augmenting ones awareness, first ones inner awareness as you say, which is the very first step.

To be able to get out of the little bubble we have created around us which excludes almost all the rest of the earth.

I think that if there were more in our community that was voluntary, it would not only make for a better understanding of the people of the community, more bonds with others and create a very big family, it would also give more power to the people rather then to the government, for instead of working for the money that will go into taxes which will be spent be the government, the same time and energy would be spent in the change the people would want to see. For example, if you see a huge pothole on your street (which happened to have knocked off a hubcap on your car) it is illegal for you to fill it up, so what do you do? Call the city? If by any chance they ever do send guys, your tax money which you have worked hard for will go into the those guys salaries, and it took 30 min to come to your street, 15 min to fill it up 30 to go back, two guys, that's one expensive pothole! Also the gas of driving burnt into the environment! And who pays for that too?

Money has too much importance in this society, but doesn't have to be that way.

So what to do, promote by example about awareness of the inner and outer world, teach and raise curiosity to those who are interested.

By getting together like minded people, the starting points of a different kind of civilization.

Accepting the world as it is, only then can we have a true global picture, motivated to change not because we see the world as a h**l to be, but the heaven it can become, with your help and the help of others.

Eventually humanities general awareness will come to the the point of critical mass, and then the tables will be turned.

And I think they have already started to turn. I think that survival is inevitable, but if our civilization will not die, it will have to change.

It's all about evolution, now it's our turn.

  9. it can't, it's already started, the fuse has been lit, the button has been pushed.

the people are too weak to control the politicians.

the politicians are too stupid to control the planet and too arrogant to realise thier mistakes.

    global warming is a myth.

inner awakening would be a start but probably too late.

  10. One way and one way only. Via goats. goats, especially nanny goats are the only home for civilization as we know it. I shitt you not. I'm serious.

  11. Well, is it really such a bad thing if this civilization collapses? A quote from Stingray's post: "I am sure there is a good positive side somewhere, however I am failing to see it." Well, here it is.

As long as the civilization we have now still stands, there will be no improvement in it. You cannot build a workable model off of something that doesn't work. Civilizations fall. That's all there is to it, and there's nothing to be done to stop it, really. At least as long as we're all thinking the way we think now.

Anyway, there's a wonderful little book called "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn that gets into this subject pretty well, might want to give it a read.
