Part 2: Players that Manchester United should sign
Whenever the transfer window is in full bloom, numerous clubs get linked to numerous players for a variety of reasons. The reasons for the players being linked to a plethora of clubs come about after performances at the World Cup, fantastic seasons in yesteryears or due to the players’ expiring contracts.
Things are no different with Manchester United. Even though United haven’t always been the most active in the transfer window, they have over the past almost always been linked with numerous players. That trend seems to be carrying on this summer as well. Here is a look at some of the players who are rumored to make their way to Old Trafford before the start of the new season.
Jack Rodwell: One of the future prospects of the England national team is Jack Rodwell. Rodwell is currently only nineteen years old, but has managed to become one of the most reputed names in the English Premier League. He is a player who is overflowing with talent. He is more than certain to be one of the biggest names in world football in the future. He is currently employed by Everton who are more than aware of the players talents and have hence warded of interest from most of the teams that have shown signs of interest in the player so far.
However if Manchester United are to come calling for the player it would close to impossible for the team, to keep him at Everton much longer. Rodwell is currently being utilized by Everton as a substitute and not a full time player.  The player has constantly been on David Moyes’s back requesting to be allowed to leave on a transfer so that he could get more field time and hence gain more experience in the process. The player is most likely doing so, so that he could possibly finally make his debut for the England senior squad.
Alex Ferguson has been a long term admirer of the teenager and has recently gone on to mention how he would be a great addition to almost any squad that he plays for. Alex Ferguson currently has very aging squad at Old Trafford under him. With players like Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs nearing their retirement age there need to some significant changes to the lineup.
The manger felt that way when he signed Anderson from Porto. The Brazilian midfielder was only nineteen years old when he was brought into the club. Anderson was supposed to be the future of the team but has so far been nothing but a disappointment. However what that shows, is the mangers intention to invest in the future for the team.
He has however been disappointed with the choices he has made in doing so, so far. However a player who could break those series of bad transfers if Rodwell. In the short field time that Rodwell has had in his career he has done nothing but impress.
The player has tremendous technique for a player of his age. He has great vision, takes some wonderful shots at goal and can create magic out of nothing. Ferguson however has to decide when he wants to sign the player. The best time for him to sign the player would be, this summer. The reason being that if the player is brought in now, he would be able to learn from Scholes and Giggs, those two players over the past have proved that they are easily the best at what they do. It would be a dream for a player like Rodwell to play alongside those players, learn from them and eventually even replace them on the pitch.
