Before heading to the next week, the Spanish Champions Barcelona presented themselves in front of the press, as the young Barca B players, who featured during the midweek UEFA Champions League fixture, were to speak about their
experiences. The players that were to talk included the two holding midfielders Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano along with the young goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto along with Victor Vazquez, the goal scorer of the game and the Barcelona captain for that
team, Gerard Pique. The young centre back Andreu Fontas also spoke about his experience in the first team and his first ever UEFA Champions League game.
The young goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto came forward during the press conference to talk about his experience. The Barcelona reserve goalkeeper was not playing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time and it was not a surprise
for him that the Catalan Giants won a game with him being a part of the team. In fact, his record with the Spanish Champions is quite extraordinary, as the young goalkeeper has never experienced a single loss while guarding the goal for his team. Whenever
Josep Guardiola has played him between the two poles, the Spanish Giants have never lost. With such a good record, he was played against the Russian Giants, Rubin Kazan and it was obvious that he was to do wonders for his side.
Like every player, who was playing for the first time or not, it was a big night because everyone had a story to share; Jose Manuel Pinto had a story as well. The Spaniard was banned for two UEFA Champions League games. While Barcelona
were playing against the Danish Champions FC Copenhagen in a home game, Pinto was charged of whistling during the game as a Copenhagen player thought that he was offside even though he was not. After coming out of the two-match suspension, Pinto played against
Rubin Kazan in another home game and while mocking the UEFA representatives he told that he whistled in this game as well just like he did during the last game that he played. He simply showed that he is one of the best reserve goalkeepers and his record simply
reflects that. He further added onto his comments by stating that the Spanish Giants are going to face a tough team and even though all the teams that are left now are extraordinary, his side is definitely ready because they want to play in the UEFA Champions
League and compete against the best teams in Europe.
He spoke about the game’s experience and told the press that tactically the game was very strong despite the fact it looked “boring.” For him, playing in the UEFA Champions League is simply a bonus and he simply loves to perform
against the footballing Giants of Europe.
Throughout the game, Jose Manuel Pinto only saved 4 shots that came on target from Rubin Kazan’s defence and that is the reason why he praised his defensive walls. He said that the defensive lines of his side were strong and as
compared to Rubin Kazan, Barcelona played better, defensively and at the attack as well. The young Spaniard definitely had reasons to celebrate and that is the reason why he looked to be happy after the 2-0 home win against Rubin Kazan, the team that managed
to defeat Barcelona last season in the UEFA Champions League.
