Yes I did give the landlord notice I was moving and my change of address and they said they had no record of it. My girls stayed at the low income apartment 2 more weeks than I did. It was a month to month lease. We were told to move because one of us was not doing community service that we were to do. Do to their rules. I was one of them that was doing the community service. So I moved out first. Is there anything else you need to know on this issue? Thank All of You so very much!

  1. Unless they received your notice in writing, you are still liable.

How can you prove that you gave them notice?

In most cases, all joint and several parties must vacate in order for the termination notice to be valid. They stayed, all joint and several tenants remain liable, especially if an eviction took place.
