I am a non-EU student going to Wrexham, Wales, UK for studies next month. My qualifications are MSc and BSc. Now how are the chances for getting a part-time student job there in Wrexham ? (I know it is restricted to 20hr./week.) What is the minimum hourly pay that I should expect while considering my MSc degree ? I am going to study MPhil.

  1. I live in Wrexham, and to be honest, any jobs requiring a MSc are very rare.  Most positions will depend on the type of work you wish to do.  A part time job as a customer services or Collections assosciate will net you up to £8 a hour.  Working as an administrator or in an Office environment is usually around the same.  Factory work is easy to come by and pays up to £11 per hour, depending on how skilled you are.

Check websites like reed.co. uk and other job hunting sites.  These will offer you a wider picture of what your earning potential will be!

Good luck in Wrexham :P  I hate it here! x*x
