Part time vs full time?

What's the difference? It's my first time applying for a job. [shop-rite]

  1. When you get a part time job in an organisation, it is not considered as a permanent job and you are not considered to be in the pay-roll of the firm. Hence you are not eligible for the normal benefits being provided b y the firm to permanent employees such as bonus,provident fund, gratuity etc. However, if you are a full time employee you will be considered as the regular employee and will be eligible for all the benefits.


  2. part time higher rates of pay but not as many hours plus you dont accumulate holidays no sick days either

    full time lower hourly rate but you accrue holidays and sick days

    thats where i work anyway
