  1. That is one of the most difficult questions to answer, because it really depends on the industry, different employers, and hours that you work.

You might find some ball park general type answers on www.wageline.qld.gov.au

Also fares for public transport will also depend on how far you are travelling, eg two bus stops in the city wont cost the same as a trip from Brisbane to Sydney - but both could be bus travel.

Again, some general info could be found on www.transinfo.qld.gov.au

  2. Depending on what job you do will depend on your wage. I guess if your lets say a fast food worker you'll get around 11 dollars an hour depending your age. Labouring you'll get around 17 an hour. Buses in brisbane are about 3 dollars per zone you travel through and get slightly cheaper the more zones you go through ie to travel through two zones will cost you 3.50 or so. Train is relatively the same also. Hospitality jobs are probably the best for part time or casual work as it pays relatively good at about 17+ an hour and you get alot of free meals and drinks so if your a student that alone will save you heaps.

  3. It usually depends on your age, and the occupation, but if you got paid basic wage, I would guess around $15 per hour, along with bus or train fairs of around $10 each way.

  4. The following site has everything you need to know about transport routes, ticketing and fares in and around Brisbane:

    http://www.transinfo.qld.gov.au/qt/Trans...

Wages depend very much on the type of work and the employer, but the minimum adult wage is $13.80 per hour. Casual workers receive a 20% casual loading in lieu of holiday pay and other benefits. See: http://www.wageline.qld.gov.au/awardsonl... for rminimum ates for younger workers.

In May 2008, Queensland women working full time earned an average gross weekly wage of $969.20. Male full time workers earned an average of $1135.90 a week. We have equal pay for equal work legislation, but women tend to predominate in lower paid occupations.
