Part time working,cheap rent uk????

Question

im 21 and work part time at sainsburys uk 16 hours a week but i want a flat, but will the coucil make the rent cheaper?? i dont know anything about these things,can anyone give me some info please,cheers

you probably wont get a council flat but if you did they wont make the rent cheaper.You could apply for help with rent from the housing benefit dept.-why dont you get a full time job,you might then be able to afford a bedsit.No harm in applying to go on the council waiting list for accomodation

also apply to various housing associations-get that info on them from your council office
