  1. I'm 13 and HATE that song. It just annoys me, but she is allowed to sing it. If you don't want your kids to listen to it, don't let them!

My mom doesn't care what I listen to, but rathers me buy the edited verison if they make one. Ones with swears aren't listened to in front of my brothers and sisters (oldest is 9). So yes I listen to songs like:

    s**y Can I

    Shake It

    Love in the Club

    Crank That

    Low

Yes they are kind of inappropriate, but just because I listen to music about someone who "climb down the da pole no panties no shirt" doesn't mean I will be a stripper. Just my oppinion!

  2. I believe ALL of this immoral stuff should be burned. It is not healthy. "I kiss a girl and I liked it....you are my experiemental game" terrible, terrble.

  3. if u dont want ur kids to listen to certain songs....change the radio station or tv channel....

    thats it...

  4. Unfortunately, the 1st amendment allows Kate Perry the right to sing about kissing girls and liking it,

but parents have the right to censor their kids if they don't want them hearing about it.

  5. As a parent I think it's my job to decide what my child can and can't listen to. The world would be a really boring place if everything was rated G. And I happen to think Katy Perry is pretty talented.

  6. I think that was probably the best she knew to do about it.  Remember, you said this was coming from a tween.  Most of the time that age group doesnt fully understand everything there is to understand.

Beyond that, no, its NOT the gov's job to censor.  It IS the parents. But, I also know that it is incredably hard.  You cant be with your child 24/7.  You cant always control what they hear.  And when they have kids shows, sites or programs playing songs that are more adult oriented, its hard to know who to trust, or where to go.

  7. IT reallty depends...  when Iw as four I was trafficking drugs and selling my own records...  I had a pretty strong pimp hand by the time I was 2 1/2.  I am Vice President of G-Unit Records now.  I put the Gorilla in Gorilla Unit son!

Im joking...   I think that everyone wants to point the finger to someone else and place the blame.  At four I believe its the fault of the parents but Id o know that even at malls now they play some pretty provocative music on the speakers.  So its hard not to hear music about grinding up on girls and womanizing.  I think some restrictions could be put in plac ebut most of the responsibility shoudl be ont eh parents.  But to keep it treal I dont give a d@mn.  I am just tryin to keep da pimp hand scrong
