  1. I am strongly pro-choice, but only for the first three months. After that, the mother has made their decision.

Partial-birth abortions I can't agree with no matter the situation.

  2. it's so sad to see some people have to see a baby in flesh n blood before they can admit a child has human rights too!

There are four basic ways that the embryo or fetus (who is not protected under the law) is different from a newborn baby (who is protected under the law). The first difference is size. Embryos are smaller than fetuses who are smaller (usually) than newborns. The question, then, is this. What does size have to do with rights of personhood? The answer: nothing.

Smaller people are no more or less human than those who are bigger. Embryos and fetuses are smaller than newborns just as newborns are smaller than infants and infants are smaller than toddlers and toddlers are smaller than adolescents and adolescents are smaller than teenagers and teenagers are smaller than adults. Size doesn't matter. It is lawful to kill a fly and not lawful to kill a person, not because the person is bigger, but because the person is human. Humanity is what matters. Trees are generally bigger than people, but it is lawful to cut the branches off trees, but unlawful to cut arms off people. Why? Because humanity, not size, is what determines rights of personhood. This might seem laughably obvious but there are all number of people out there who actually justify abortion based simply on the tiny size of the embryo or fetus.

Think about this, it is often true that newborn babies, born prematurely, are smaller than other fetuses who are still inside the womb. All those fetuses still in the womb, may be legally aborted in all fifty states despite the fact that they are bigger than many premature newborns. To argue that abortion is justified because early embryos and fetuses are so small is a rationale with no logical basis. Size doesn't determine personhood after birth and it shouldn't determine personhood before birth.

Killer Queen you say it's ok to do abortions less  than 3 months do u even know the development of a 12 week old fetus?

    EIGHT DAYS (from fertilization)

At about eight days after conception, the fertilized ovum (called a blastocyst) implants in the lining of the uterus. It emits chemical substances which weaken the woman's immune system within the uterus so that this tiny "foreign" body is not rejected by the woman's body.

    THREE WEEKS (from fertilization)

By the third week of pregnancy (approximately 21 days after fertilization), the heart begins to beat, pumping blood throughout the body, and the brain begins dividing into three primary sections (forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain).

    FOUR WEEKS (from fertilization)

Arms and legs begin taking shape at four weeks, and the embryo is now surrounded and protected by the amniotic sac.

    FIVE WEEKS (from fertilization)

Permanent kidneys appear during the fifth week, and the external portions of the ear begin to differentiate. Hands and wrists are also beginning to take shape.

    SIX WEEKS (from fertilization)

By the sixth week, the brain emits waves which register on an EEG (electroencephalogram). This is the legal standard for determining if someone is alive after birth. The heartbeat can be heard with an ultrasonic stethoscope, the embryo responds reflexively to stimulus and may be able to feel pain. Bone ossification begins at this point as well.

    SEVEN WEEKS (from fertilization)

Startle responses can be observed after 7 weeks, and female ovaries are now identifiable. Fingers and toes are now distinctly separated, and knee joints are present.

    EIGHT WEEKS (from fertilization)

By the eighth week of pregnancy, every organ is present and in place. Ninety percent of the structures found in an adult human being can now be found in this tiny embryo which is only about an inch and a half long. The brain, at this point, makes up almost half of the embryo's total body weight, and 75% of 8-week embryos demonstrate right-hand dominance. Intermittent breathing motions (though there is no air present in the uterus) occur, the kidneys begin producing urine, and male testes are releasing testosterone. As the skin thickens, it loses much of its transparency.

    NINE WEEKS (from fertilization)

The eyelids close at this point, and fetuses are now capable of sucking their thumb, swallowing amniotic fluid, grasping objects and responding to touch. The uterus can be recognized in female fetuses and external genitalia become more recognizable.

    TEN WEEKS (from fertilization)

Fingernails, toenails and unique fingerprints all appear .

DO UNTO THE UNBORN AS YOUR MOTHER DID TO YOU.

  3. im pro-choice until it comes to partial birth abortions.theres no excuse to have an abortion that late in pregnancy.anyone who does this is just sick.

  4. i would only ever get an abortion if the child was so deformed, that it would probably not survive and if he/she would suffer.  it just wouldn't be fair.

other than that, i agree that women should have to choose weather to have the child or not.  its their body, and it would drastically affect the lives around others.  you need to be prepared for a child, and if your simply not, abortion may be the answer.

and right, there is a time frame.  after a certain amount of time, the child is to formed to be aborted.  that's why missing a period or getting symptoms should be handled immediately, instead of having a very bad shock later on.

  5. NO WAY!!! That is MURDER no matter how you look at it and only God has the right to terminated a pregnancy. That is a living human being with a soul and it does not matter how far along in the pregnancy a woman is. People who do this are no better than HITLER and deserve to burn for eternity in h**l!!

  6. No way! partial birth abortion is absolutely wrong!  You are delivering a breathing child and then letting someone put a whole in the back of its head and letting them die!

even in deformity cases if the child is able to live then give it to someone who is willing to care for it.

No matter what deformity i was told my baby would have I couldnt do it.

  7. I think the entire idea is disgusting.  I used to be pro choice until I got pregnant.  It wasn't until then that the idea that a fetus was alive when in the whom became real to me.  There are so many couples that cannot have a child that would love one.  When adoption is so readily available why would one choose to kill their child.  Because that is exactly what it is - killing.  Some people may argue that the baby is not alive until it takes its first breath - then how does one explain the heart beat?  I could go on for hours about this but I will stop now.

To answer your question - I don't believe in any type of abortion at any time.

  8. all i can say is i am against abortion!!!!

  9. considering there are several tests that can show deformities early in a pregnancy, there is no actual reason for a partial birth abortion. even if the mothers health is endangered, they can deliver the baby early. A baby at this late of stage in a pregnancy can live outside of the womb, which means it should never be done.  On top of that, with plan B there is not really a good reason for any abortions.

  10. It doesn't matter if your baby is deformed or not. Or even has a disorder. You should love it and raise no matter what. Abortion is wrong and I really don't see how people can kill their child.

  11. NO NO NO its never a good thing its still a life yes women have the right to choose but they should be choosing what kind of birth control to use instead of when to kill there baby there is no reason to have an abortion unless the heath of the mother is in jeopardy its sad that we as a society can be so vain as to say that a life is disposable if the mother CHOOSES

  12. No.

I won't even bother to say why because I know that the yea crowd is vicious.
