Partnership on a broodmare?

has anyone ever went in on a partnerships of buying a broodmare? i would like to know how to keep it fair for both owners. she's registered with really good bloodlines in cutting and reining. she's in foal now, but i have no interest in the foal she is about to have now. the other person is. do we go 1/2 and 1/2 on the purchase price, and they keep this foal, and i get the next one from a stallion of my choice. and do we split all

other costs? we do not have to worry about boarding we have property to keep her. I have other broodmares of my own but never have done any partnerships with other people. please give details if you can on how this could work fairly. thanks.

  1. well i havent went into partnership of a broodmare but have some of my own but have went into a few syndicates of point to pointers and while some have worked out well some havent where there was arguments of where to race them or to sell or not to sell where some people wanted to sell it and some didnt  syndicates are quite complicated if theres more than 3 people involved! but if you have no interest in this foal let the other person keep it if theyre willing to and i think you should split the costs of the mare fairly both purchase and future costs because in the end you both have bought the mare and should pay for it equally as there will be rows in the future over costs if you dont get it sorted out. i also think you should pick a stallion you both like and can agree on rather that having to just settle for what one person likes as everyones different and what stallion one person likes could differ from what you like.  good luck with her hope this helps!
