Parts of the constitution that were superseded, are they still considered part of the constitution?

I was just reading it, and realized that on Article 2 , section 2, it says Vice presidents are chosen from having the 2nd most number of votes. basically.

But didnt that change, so the superseded part of the constitution is no longer used? SO when writing my re-write for an assignment, would I consider the superseded part?

  1. Depends on how accurate you want to be.... including the superceded parts (with appropriate notation) gives insight into the original document (similar to including the anti-slavery paragraph in the Declaration of Independence that was removed)... just depends on how much depth you want to go into, but technically it's no longer a part of the Constitution, so you wouldn't be amiss in omiting it.

  2. Yes, it is customary to include the entire original text of the constitution, including superseded sections.

Note that in the amendments, they simply state a new policy, they do not say "article x*x is hereby removed" like some state constitutions do.
