Party Essentials?

Question

Having a party in a couple or weeks at my house for 15-20 people

its going to be fancy dress and was wondering what are the essential things i would need to keep the party going all night?

Paper plates

chips

dip

big bowls for chips

plates for food

plastic silverware

plastic cups

soda, many varieties (diet, regular, etc)

napkins

t.p. for the bathroom

garbage can that's easily accessible

music is good, plug some speakers into your computer and put your itunes on shuffle.  you can get some cheap computer speakers that are fair quality for around 10 dollars. you can use random speaker wire from the hardware store to extend the speakers as far as you need them, for realllly cheap.

decorations (minimal, if possible).  maybe a table runner that fits the theme.

interesting party favors. for example, if you're doing roaring 20's theme, you could hand out long fake pearl necklaces to the girls who come, and hand out homemade bow ties to the guys.

first how old are you? generally, guy and girls first of all, start the day off with some games, like truth or dare, spin the bottle, or whatever, if your younger, like 13. then maybe a movie wher everyone can snugle together. if your like 17, soemthing a bit more wild...with cocain like the othee guy said:)

good music, nice lighting, the right kind of decorations, and def. good food. don't forget to have a place for dancing, eating, mingling etc..

a place to put coats and purses is a must too.

Music food napkins plates cups etc. TOILET PAPER I hate coming to a party and there not being any when you have lots of guests. a cheese spread room to sit and stand.

Have nice appetizers for munching - depends on your budget, but here are a few ideas: Shrimp cocktail, ceviche, bacon wrapped scallops (or shrimp), hummus and pita chips (can also do a roasted red pepper dip), an antipasto tray, cheese and crackers, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, bread and dip or spread.

Have some great music playing - blues or jazz is always nice, or any non-intrusive pop or easy music - it's for background more than anything.

Keep the lights somewhat low - you want it to feel intimate but still be lit enough where people aren't tripping over things! lol!

Make sure you have a variety of drinks available (alcoholic or non or both) and plenty of coasters or napkins.

Introduce everyone to each other and tell them something that they each have in common to try to encourage conversation.
