So I'll be turning sixteen next week and I am throwing a party. Maybe not what most people would call a "sweet 16", i've invited like 16 of my closest friends over my house to chill. Problem: I have nothing planned. I need tips, entertainment, decorating, game, any ideas?

I plan on having most of it outside, I'll have a volleyball net set up. And I was thinking of doing a skavenger hunt, old school I know, but i just love it. hahah :]

I have no theme for my party, idk if I want one, maybe. It's gonna be like during the summer so yeah. Idk what colors should I use?? I like pinks, blues, teel/turqoise,aqua-ish colors, and lime green. Oh and bright orange too. ha, I like bright colors. But I also love, love, LOVE black and white stuff...

Yeah, this is all random. But any help is appreciated. Thanks guys. :]

  1. I like the idea of bright colors. Do you have a party supply store anywhere near you? They have decorations and the supplies like cups, napkins, plates, etc. in themes usually and will have some summer ones. Depending on if you find a good  decorating theme, you could plan the food around that. Like for example if you went with a Hawaiian theme you could have "Hawaiian" type foods.

Or just have a good old fashion grill out, that is pretty Summery...  burgers and hot dogs, salads, chips and dip, baked beans, lemonade, etc.

I hope it turns out well and you have a great birthday party!!

  2. sounds like you choose a beach theme.  pick three of your favorite colors hot pink, teal and green. decorate with just those colors, use lots of beach towels, find a neighbor who has palm fronds you can trim, pick up a couple bags of sand at the hardware store to dump around. set up tiki torches and tables dressed in grass skirts.  pass out grass skirts and leas.  you could go to the florist or craft store and gather flowers to make your own leas.  you could set up kiddie pools around, with floatys.  have water balloon relays, tosses. and of course volleyball.

as for food i would choose lots of fruit, bowels and on skewers. lots of pineapple, decorate with it too.  make teriacki chicken and serve with rice.  put little umbrellas in all your drinks, virgin daquires.  put on surfer music in background. watch classic surfer movies. - good luck

  3. Hey there! Happy "almost" Sweet Sixteen! Go to Party City and the Rag Shop to get supplies:

    1) Get a lot of white "curtains" to make it a backdrop for the entire room. So it will be a completely white room.

    2) Get a white table and have clear glass-looking plastic cups and serve use colorful drinks like lemonade, fruit punch, watermelon, blueberry, ect drinks to add a punch of color.

    3) Also have another white table with clear vases of skittles, lollipops, ect, as snacks. They're colorful so you can serve your guests in ac creative and fun way.

    4) Have your birthday party

    5) Use multi-color chinese takeout boxes as goodie bags with little thank you msgs that you personally wrote inside of them.
