Planning a sweet sixteen party and I have roughly 30 teenagers (boys and girls) coming to eat after an hour of laser tag. So i am sure they will be hungry. Does anyone know a good rule of thumb for slices per kid?

  1. They will be hungry. Girls: 3 slices  Boys: 5 slices

Assume 4 slices for all and see how many pizzas that is?

120 slices.  I'm not sure how many slices are per pizza. It might be good to see if the place offers sheet pizzas instead of a round one because it might be more cost effective. They do that at my workplace.

    Hope it goes well.

edit: It's true that the girls may not eat much because of the boys.  You might want to tailor it down a little so you don't have a lot of leftovers.

edit: I only said 3 for the girls because the girls I've seen today can eat. I can usually only eat 2. Back then I'd be lucky if I ate one slice. (nervousness and not a big eater at all)

For 30 employees at my work, I think we got away with 7 pizzas. (large)  We had some big men that can eat. But we also had some women that were light eaters like myself.

edit: I don't think you can go wrong with figuring on 3 slices of pizza per person. I think that would be a minimum because some will eat only 1 slice and others will eat more than 3. It might even out.

  2. i would say 3 slices. girls are gonna act cute and not wanna eat very much, and boy will consume as much as humanly possible. can't go wrong with 3 to 4 slices. put out some cookies, sodas, chips, etc...

  3. 2 each

some will eat more then 2

    some will eat  1

    some will eat none

  4. My 17 year old son can eat half of a large pizza.  My 14 year old daughter can eat one slice....maybe two.  If everyone gets at least two slices, that should be good.  I would assume you'll have chips and dip, and sodas and cake, so I would go with 10 large....some with toppings.  $$$$$.

  5. gr8 to noe u r 16...so do i ....i think u r too health conscious...i wud suggest u to eat 4 slices if it is a medium size and 2 slices if it is a large size...

    happy sweet sixteen!!!

  6. I would say 3-4 slices each for kids that age ... so that is 15 pizza's

  7. 30 people would require a minimum of 8 pizzas, but i would play it safe with 10.  don't forget sides and drinks!

  8. I would say 3 slices per person should be sufficient.

  9. 3-4

  10. 1/4 of a pizza per person is a good amount, unless the pizzas are huge.  Put out some chips and things, too...they'll be fine.

  11. 6 if the party is not an all night eat!

  12. plan on 1 pizza per person

  13. Teenagers, (and lets pretend the teenagers love this food a lot), they can eat most likely up to four pieces.

The normal amount is about two, if their not large slices.

It's a party, let them eat what they want. (If it's not too much money for you.)

  14. say an average of 3 slices apiece.  The girls may only eat 1 or 2 pieces, but hungry teenage boys could easily eat 4 pieces each! ...  Have a veggie/dip platter too.  The girls may appreciate having a lower-calorie choice to fill up on.....

  15. 4/kid. teenagers can put the food away

  16. I'd guess 2-4 slices per girl and 4-6 slices per boy.

  17. 3 slices

  18. 2-3 slices per person if there is other food.

  19. Ha ha, depends on how many are guys. When i was 16-18 my friends and I could put away a large a piece, maybe minus one slice.

I would almost say 9 larges for every 10 guys and maybe 1/4 large for each girl. Most girls will eat one or two pieces and that should leave an extra slice for the guy.

  20. I'd say a large per 4 people so that's 7.5. Get 10 to be safe.

    3 sausage, 3 cheese, 2 pepperoni, 2 veggie

  21. Depends Some of the girls may have 2 pices and the boys well that is a toss up. I have a 18 year old that will eat a full large Pizza . that is about 12 peaces. If they are in sports figure they will eat more than a boy not in sports.30 kids i would figure 20 pizzas

  22. 2 or 3 slices each should work.

  23. Oh man, these kids are growing. They may even challenge each other as to how many pieces one can eat (particularlly the boys). I say, better too much than not enough in this case. I'd go 1/3 pizza per kid, so 10 large pizzas.

  24. If that's the only food to be served, I think 2-3 pieces per person of a large-sized pizza is enough.  It would be good if there would be other finger foods to serve.
