  1. Something light will be good. You will not want anything too heavy as the dancing will be the primary focus.

Can you have a family member BBQ for you? Chicken Kabobs on wooden skewers are easy to make and eat, and not too filling. You can add mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, cherry tomatoes to make it interesting.

When you think of swing dancing two thoughts come to mind, the 50's (then you might want to have hamburgers) or the more formal ballroom dancing. Pick which you want to go with and consider what would taste good for a group of dancers.

  2. That would be the 1950's then ......Watch "Happy Days" or GREASE to get ideas...... For 50's food, you DEFINITELY need a jello mold!  Brownies & chocolate chip cookies .... milkshakes or root-beer floats  ...  onion dip & chips ... hamburgers & fries

  3. Obviously people here don't know what was the era of swing dance. It was popular in the 40's..not the 50's. Look at this site in their jazz section/ big band section. You should find some inspiration there.

  4. Do Oriental trading for a ton of decorations and party favors. As for food....do sock hop food....malt shakes....pies....and dinner food.... as for the food decor area make it a cool drive in theme....

  5. also try food and how people dance! where you have it is also important
