  1. It's always good to ask the people going to the party for ideas - As they are the ones who will be participating in the theme

  2. Lots of ideas here.

  3. One of the most popular themes world over is the Barbie doll party theme. It is a favorite among little girls and arranging a Barbie theme party is sure to win you accolades from your young daughter. The party does not require very strenuous arrangements. You just need to be creative and craft a setting that reflects the fantasy world of the timeless doll. In case you are still clueless about taking the first step towards arranging this theme party, let our Barbie theme party ideas help you step-by-step.

When it comes to Barbies, think pink. Go in for pink invitations with pink glitter and pink Barbie doll pictures. Mention the theme and also mention if the guests have to bring their own Barbie dolls. Inform them about the dress code, which has to be pink or white gowns or frocks. The time, date and venue of the party should be stated very clearly. Also, give your contact details in case someone has a query regarding the party.

The décor has to be magical. Pinks and whites dominate the scene. Get balloons with satin ribbons, beautiful streamers, pink cushions, pink chairs, pink artificial flowers, etc. You can also stick glow-in-the-dark stars if your party is in the evening.

The dessert in your menu has to be pink. So go in for strawberry ice cream, cherry smoothies and sundaes. Serve finger foods like burgers and hotdogs instead of an elaborate meal, as the girls would be interested much more in the dolls rather than the food.

Your party attire should be a straight dress, gown or a cute frilly frock in light pleasing colors like baby pink, baby blue, mauve, lemon and white. Go in for ribbons coordinating with the dress, as small girls look real cute with ribbons. You can also make artificial tiaras, which can be given away as party favors later on.

Get some good music that can be played to make the girls enjoy. Select music from animated movies like Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, etc. Plan some fun games like a pageant for all Barbie dolls. Tell the girls to prepare a short play involving their dolls. Give away rewards to all at the end.

Party favors can include Barbie accessories like combs, shoes, belts, etc. You can also give out tiaras to the girls and see them smile from ear to ear looking like little princesses.

  4. if your looking for colour schemes go black, pink and red my friend had those at her 18th and that was cool. Also have a black and white theme and then your sister could come out in a brightly coloured outfit and stand out!!!

  5. Luau

    Under the sea

    Groovy

    ........

I dont really know what she likes so these are just some suggestions.

  6. Old Fashioned- Ladies and gents

Retro Disco- back to the 80's

Cocktail Party- you can get bar maids and guys!

    Masked- Always fun!

Ancient- Egyptians in headgear, Romans in Robes etc

    Fancy dress- anything goes

Childhood Tv Charachters- Captain Underpants, Spongebob!

Ghouls and Ghosts- Zombies, Mummies, Vampires

Carnival- bright clothes and exotic head dresses

food- come in dressed as your fave food ie. pizza burger.

Themed around her fave colours, fave show, fave place ie Paris, Venice,

Or get everyone to dress up in something that starts with the first letter of her name.

  7. Come as something starting with x.

x being any letter you choose.

  8. Pimps and Hoes LOL No seriously it is party theme and its fun! Who doesnt love an excuse to dress up like a pimp or hoe?

  9. Luau seems to be a popular idea...could be fun...you could also do a toga party, a pimp n hoe party, cops and robbers, i dunno going back to my sorority days...lol

  10. Spa, Pool Party , Tropical? She could just go out to dinner with a bunch of friends or to the beach.

  11. My lil cousin had a "P" party as her name is Petra so take the first letter of your sisters name and then people have to come dressed as something that starts with that letter.

Give all the boys a bolt and the girls the corresponding nut and then during the evening the boys have to find the matching girl. Then when they find them - well you can make up the rules. A bit like the car keys in the bowl your parents may have played sometime in their life.

  12. go with hot colors

    no barney stuff

  13. blind party - all party goers are wearing something to blind their eyes, could be fun

  14. cocktail party

  15. Ok, two ideas:

    a) Fantasy Theme

A Fantasy Masquerade type theme, where people could accessorise with wings, eyeliner, black dresses, masquerade eye masks, magic wands, bling, gothic trimmings, the works.. Make it a Glamorous fantasy theme, not a kiddy one.

    b) Glamour & Bling

This works well on its own. It leaves everything to your imagination and its high on the style Q.

  16. A luau (hawaiian, tropical, island) theme is always fun.

So is a masquerade, where everyone wears a costume and comes with a mask on.

But I think you should do a beach theme or hawaii.

  17. i had 'gangsta and dolls' my friends have had.. 'rock and roll', 'bear-tastic', 'under the sea', 'ahoy sailor', 'fairy tale' and 'superheroes vs. villians' = )... also if her name's like Ellie or soemthing.. everyone come as something beginning with 'E' lol
