  1. I don't think that you would have to buy/bring a gift.  But, you could bring a nice bottle of wine for the party itself.

  2. Cards will do.

  3. I would say get them something small, nothing like a birthday present, but some kind of keepsake that will remind them of home. Maybe a little picture of their family, or something to remind them of the area or state that they live in. Nothing bulky, just something small but significant.

  4. I know it sounds cheesy and over done but I would have a blanket made for each of them, with either something inspirational or everyones name one or even a picture, it's something that they could take with them and give them a feeling of home while they are gone. It also wouldnt hurt your pocket book if you got all of the co-workers to pitch in.

Best of luck 2 both of them, I hope they stay safe and have fun at the party I hope I helped :)

  5. just a bottle of wine. and may be a little something with US flag. and Some Bud, cause by the time he come back it will not be American Beer anymore!

  6. Try to find something funny, from a gag-gift store (nothing dirty though!) that'll remind them of the good ol' USA. Maybe a little key chain that says something funny or a little book with funny qoutes about America. My friend bought a statue of a little old man that says "If you don't like it here, get out!" for a friend of hers who went to Afghanistan. It makes him laugh everytime he sees it and he told her that "Little old geezers saying stuff like that" is the reason he's fighting for his country. Leave the sentimental gifts for the close relatives, finding them something that'll make them laugh, if even for a second while they're over there, would be an awesome gift and much appreciated.

  7. I'm not sure how much he's going to be allowed to take with him when he leaves, but how about a care package? Music, DVDs, snacks, etc.
