I am throwing a birthday party for my 13 year old. She wants it to be like we're at a fancy hotel. I have put my younger son and his friend to work as servers. (they are extremely excited) what are some good non-alchoholic drinks and snacks I can serve?

    Gramm's Christmas Punch

    RECIPE BY: spaceace

This is a staple of Christmas at our house. My grandma used to make one "spiked" and one "virgin" for us kids, but the kids would always find a way to sneak into the spiked punch!

    Ingredients

    # 32 ounces Hawaiian Punch drink or red Juicy Juice Punch

    # 1 ounce frozen orange juice

    # 1 ounce frozen cranberry juice

    # 2 3/4 ounces rum(half light or half dark or choose one)

    # pineapple chunks or orange slices or maraschino cherries(to garnish)

    Directions

Stir all ingredients together in punch bowl with HALF of the water required as directed on the label for each of the frozen juices.

Allow to chill for at least 12 hours.

If carbonation desired, add Sprite or Club Soda when serving.

Grammy always serves it with an ice ring floating on the top.

  2. There are alot of frozen concentrates for flavored margaritas & pina coladas, that you can make with 7-Up instead - or buy the buckets of flavored margarita mix ......How about making parfaits in martini glasses?   .....  crab dip & crackers ... shrimp & cocktail sauce dip  ... canapes

  3. here's one of my avorite recipes:

    super punch

first take a punch bowl and some pinapple sherbet and scoop wih a cookie dough scoop all of the sherbet in little balls in the bottom of the bowl. pace these in the freezer for an hour, and when you take them out brake them apart so the all are seperated. next pour over a good amount of pinapple juice. then, add some lemon lime soda and some marischino cherrys.

serve in punch cups making sure that ech cup gets 1 cherry and 1 sherbet ball and some liquid. this drink is cool looking delicious and a crowd favorite. hope you enjoy you're party!

  4. Below I have posted a great little site I used to make my little sister the best birthday cocktails ever! (Non alcoholic of course...)

Good luck, and I hope your daughter has a great birthday!

  5. Sparkling grape juice, 7-up/Sherbet punch

  6. What a cool idea... love it!

    Twinkie Shake

    2 c. milk

    6 Hostess Twinkies

    4 Oreo cookies

    3 c. vanilla ice cream

    1/3 cup milk

In a blender, add milk and Twinkies; blend for 5 to 10 seconds. Add Oreo cookies. Blend together. Add 3 cups vanilla ice cream. Blend until smooth. Pour in milk.

    Cherry Coke

    1 12oz Coke

    1 T Cherry Grenadine

    1 T Maraschino Cherry juice

    1 Maraschino Cherry

Mix first three ingredients, pour in tall glass over ice and top with Marashino Cherry.

    Orange Julius

    1/2 of a 6 ounce can

(or 1/3 cup) frozen orange juice concentrate

    1/2 cup water

    1/2 cup whole milk

    1/2 tsp vanilla extract

    5 or 6 ice cubes

    1 raw egg (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender, cover, and blend until smooth. About 30 seconds. Serve immediately. Instead of milk, use a few scoops of vanilla ice cream. This will make the mixture smoother and creamier.

    Pac-Man

    2 tsp lemon juice

    1 tsp grenadine syrup

    7 - 8 oz ginger ale

Add grenadine and lemon juice to an ice-filled glass. Top with ginger ale, and slide an orange slice down the side of the glass.

    Enjoy and Cheers!

  7. you can make virgin daquries, margaritas, mix different types of fruit juices together to take the place of Bahama Mamas and things like that, chocolate milk shakes with whipped cream and chocolate chips to take the place of mudslides, you can also buy sparkling grape juice and white grape juice to look like wines.  i would do snacks like you see on TV at fancy parties where you do finger foods on trays.  You could have cheese and crackers, cheese cubes and summer sausage, or peperoni meats on toothpicks, veggie trays all for appetizers, and then a buffet if you wanted to have a full dinner.

  8. Fizzy drinks
