There will be boys and girls. We don't have an exact theme, but something casual and summer-like. We're gonna have limbo, spin the bottle (truth & dare), pin the tail stuff, etc etc...

but i need an idea for party favors....ideas please..

also, should the winners of the party games be given prizes? it leaves other kids feeling left out. so i was just thinking of giving everyone party favours in a loot bag or somehting...

any suggestions will be appriciated. thanks a bunch! = )

  1. Have a luau theme party, check http://www.pinatas.com/Luau_Party_Theme_... for more ideas and decorations.

  2. you could do little notebooks with gel pens... little containers of bubbles... candy mixes...

just look down the party aisle at walmart, they've got all kinds of stuff.

what you could do as a reward for winning the games is have a pinata... whoever wins gets to hit first, but everyone gets to collect candy.

that also eliminates the whole goody bag thing because they have the bag of candy.

  3. spongebob part favors..spongebob bottle......spongebob party bag......spongebob pencil prizes.......spongebob covered limo......spongebob pin the pants on spongebob......oh yeah.....

  4. ask the 9 year old for options.

  5. little kids like getting lots of stuff so you might want to go to the dollar store and maybe get them some bubbles, toy money, racecars, anything....or maybe something they can decorate like a baseball cap they can decorate with markers or candy is good most/all kids love candy

about the prizes play games where everyone can win...what my mom did once for one of my birthday parties was take little toys(as many as kids attending) wrap the first one in newspaper then place another toy on top wrap it all in newspaper and place another toy wrap it all up and do so untill all of the little toys are wrapped up together into a ball-ish shape then at the party have the kids sit in a circle and do hot potato wherever the ball "hot potato" stops that kid opens and keeps the prize/toy then he sits out and you keep going until everyone has a toy from the ball.....or instead of one big ball of all the toys put each toy in a paper bag and staple it closed (so if you have 12 kids you have 12 bags) and then do hot potato with one bag at a time......doing a game like that allows everyone to win

  6. for winners you could give them glow necklaces and the others glow bracelets. the loot bags could all have glow necklaces in them, so no one feels left out. then you could get some some party favors with a beach-theme from oriental trading or your local party store. I'd ask my son what kind of candy kids their age eats alot. Then your done you can also get table cloths and stuff from a party store.

  7. What about decorating t-shirts? You can use special paint or just purchase a bunch of Sharpies and everyone can write something.  This makes for a great momento for your son to keep as well.  As for loot bags - those are always a big hit.  Tattoos, stickers, pencils, erasers, bouncy balls - I would go to the dollar store first, or if there is time do an internet search of 'party favors'.  There are also some great web sites that offer crafts to make for different ages as well.  Hope it goes well!

  8. Gift cards for ice cream or movie rental stores.

  9. Marbles, yu-gi-oh cards, pens, pencils, rulers, lollies, chocolate gold coins, rubbers(erasers), basically go into a cheap store and look around. It is amazing what you will find
