I am throwing a Halloween party this year (2008.) I know this may seem early to some of you but I like to have things planned out to every detail. Anyways the party will be starting probably about 7:30pm or 8pm, so everyone will have eaten dinner. I am just going to do like finger foods. Is there anything that you can think of that is cheap, easy, and delicious????? Thanks for the help!!!!

  1. wings, meatballs, veggie tray, fruit tray, cheese and crackers... go to a bulk food store and load up- thats what i do!!

  2. I like potstickers. You can buy them already made in the frozen section of your grocery store. They come with a sauce packet.

  3. Fantastic PUMPKIN DIP

1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

    2 c. powdered sugar

1 15-oz. can pumpkin pie filling

    1 tsp. ground cinnamon

    1/2 tsp. ground ginger

apple slices & gingersnaps for dipping

Beat cream cheese & sugar at med. speed with electric mixer, until very smooth.  Add pie filling & spices and beat really well.  Put into a bowl or crock, cover and chill 8 hrs.  Serve with apples & gingersnaps for dipping.

Will keep at least a week in the refrigerator, but it's SO YUMMY that you'll just eat it up!!!

You could also make some pumpkin bread, refrigerate it, then slice them thin and make little appetizer sandwiches with plain cream cheese or the pumpkin dip above.  In fact, this pumpkin dip is also good between graham crackers.....

Have GUMMY SPIDERS and WORMS on hand ...

You can fill little clear plastic drinking cups about 3/4 way up with chocolate pudding.  Sprinkle crushed oreos on top (for dirt), and put a gummy worm coming out of it...or make tombstones with marshmellows.  Just have plastic spoons to eat them....

  4. pin wheels, make sandwiches cut them up into fourths, pop some popcorn, you can buy some candy-corns,  and chocolate chip cookies!

  5. In the fall apples will be in season.  You could make a dip for sliced apples or even an apple pizza.  Even though the party isn't til 7 or 8, if I am going to a party later, I don't eat much for supper or if at all.  My friends know if I am hosting a party, they better not eat because I have tons of food.

  6. pumpkin pretzels, mozerella sticks, chips, oreos, veggies, fruits

  7. Use orange cheddar or Colby cheese with whole wheat or pumpernickel bread to make festive "pumpkin" sandwiches. Cut the sandwiches into fun Halloween-inspired shapes.
