My daughter will be 2 next month and i am having a birthday party for her at the park. There will be a pool but i don't know what kind of games to have. There will be a few kids there around age 4-7 also. Would a pinata be a good idea?

  1. Disney has this site that you can print games, recipes, party favors, decorations, etc.  it is really cute. good luck

  2. doggy doggy where's your bone

pin the tail  on the donkey

    musical chairs

    freeze dance

    four corners

  3. I love having parties at the park and the pinata turned out to be a great idea at our party.  My daughter's party also had kids from different age groups at it.  As far as games go, The smaller kids will enjoy "Mouse Tails".  "Shark" may be difficult for the smallers kids, but 4 year olds and up will "Love It".

Mouse Tails, the perfect game for 2 year olds.

Tuck pieces of string or yarn about a foot long into the backs of the kids' shoes. After you say "Go!," the kids try to step on each other's tails. When all the tails are lost, replace and repeat.

Shark is a great game because "everybody wins".

Put hula hoops or beach towels on the ground to serve as dens for all the "fish." One child gets to be the shark. When the shark calls, "Fishie, fishie, cross my ocean," the fish have to move to a different den.

If, while out of a den, the shark tags them, they get to be sharks as well. The last remaining fish becomes the first shark next time. You can also remove dens, forcing kids to stand together on one.

"My 2-year-old had no idea what the rules were all about, but she had a great time chasing everybody." Just keep the play area small. Kids 5 and under have a hard time catching each other.

Have fun with your daughter and wish her a "Happy Birthday" for me.

  4. a pinata is a great idea..so is a "visit" from a character she likes (even if you have to get a costume and have a friend do it)..dont try to organize it too much, 2 year olds dont have the attention span for that.

Dont make it too long either, they get tired and cranky easily..Make sure there is music and things like mega blocks. if one of them is getting cranky, take him/her in the direction of the mega blocks and the distraction will be the solution to the temper tantrum...

water, music and pinata..all you need..i did that for my kids and they loved it..

    good luck!!!!
