Party scene in Costa Rica?

Question

Taking a trip to Costa Rica Jul 21- Aug 2, whanted to know if anyone knows of any good clubs or bars in or around San Jose or any other destination i should visit while in Costa Rica...Also if anyone can also advise me of a must visit destination....

It depends on where in Costa Rica you plan on staying....In the San Jose area there are quite a few places to hang at.....If you're not renting a car, you can always ask the taxi drivers to take you to the hot spots........If you rent a car ask at the hotels where to go.....

As far as places to visit while you're here...I'd suggest the La Fortuna area.....If you're looking for a  beach spot to party at Jaco is the place......

The most popular bars are located West of San Jose, in Escazu. Lots of people hang out there during the weekends.

Also, you can go to El Pueblo, located very close to downtown San Jose. There are plenty of bars and restaurants there, it is very popular among the locals specially if you want to dance salsa or merengue.

East of San Jose is San Pedro, check the bars around the University of Costa Rica.

in san jose i would say Escazu. Theres alot of money there. But there are a bunch of good clubs all around san jose and costa rica. Ask some of the locals. And a must see destination, i would say go to my home town, Perez Zeledon. It's like 3 hrs from san jose on bus or car, but it is worth it. It is very beautiful and the city just keeps on groing. Its an awesome place to visit. Playa Dominical, which is one of the best beaches in costa rica is like 30 mins away, plus other famous beaches. El Cerro Chirripo, which is the highest peak in costa rica is like 5 mins away from my home town which is Rivas. It;s about 20-30 mins from San Isidro. Check It out!!!

Well here are some links to some clubs in CR, check them out yourself. Club Vertigo is one of the best or maybe the best in San Jose for Trans, Techno or Rave and in San Pedro which is a county of San Jose you can find a few good pubs/clubs rock places or hip hop or Latin, you can go to a place called El Pueblo, they have different clubs in there.
