We have to miss a family reunion but we're sending a care pkg & we want to include a nice amount of a party snack...but it has to be something that can go thru the mail for a few days. Something that won't melt or go bad.

Any unusual, interesting, yummy ideas to throw at me??

Thanks in advance!!

  1. Go to Mrs. Prindable's  .. or .. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company's websites and have some of the GIANT caramel/candy apples shipped.  GUARANTEED to be a HUGE success!  Each apple can be cut into at least 12 pieces (or alot more) and are wonderful!    They also sell them on QVC......    Or, go to Zapp's Potato Chips website.  I've sent 6 or 8 large bags for $18 (delivered), and they're the best chips ever!  They have the skin, and are thicker and taste home-made, with really unusual Creole/Cajun flavors to choose from........

  2. Cheese straws are a wonderful standard.  The recipes are simple, but i find it's easier to just buy some.

  3. I don't know what a cheese straw is, but if it is actually cheese then it will go off quite quickly.

Breadsticks, mini pretzels, crackers etc Generally wheat-based snacks.

    Or crisps, nuts, sweets etc

  4. Sending a gift care package through the mail for a family reunion and not showing up is a smack in the face... I would just say the family can't make it and leave it at that..  Otherwise, your care package will let people always remember that you were the family that never showed up!  Duh....
