Kind a an open question without clarifying what kind of party you are going for...

If you are looking for some songs that most people know the words to and like to do sing alongs then it might be a good idea to check into some karaoke equipment.  It has become fairly affordable in the past few years.  There is a large selection of Cd's available at most music stores and some department stores.

If you are just needing a mix, once again check with a local music store in the compilation section.  Many of them have party mixes ready to go at a fair price.  If the store has a used selection you can sometimes pick these up real cheap.

If you have the 999 channels on Cox or whatever, in the 900s, they have REALLY good party music! It's not exactly what's on MTV right now, but it is like good dance music. I had a party once and I just flipped it to that channel...idk what channel it is, but I know it's called Music Choice or something. If you don't have Cox, you should just turn on the radio...104.7 or 101.5.....they have really weird remixes in the evenings, but it's good party/dance music!
