Parupalli Kashyap determined to give a hundred percent at 2012 London Olympics
India’s Men’s Singles ace player Parupalli Kashyap, who got a tremendous form at the right time, is confident to live up to the expectations by putting in his hundred percent effort at the upcoming 2012 London Olympics.
Kashyap, who is placed at number 21 in Men’s Singles world rankings, remained a bit lucky in qualifying for the mega event as he showed a wonderful performance in the India Open Super Series which was the last tournament of Olympic qualifying round.
The in-form Kashyap reached into the semi-final of India Open which helped him to supersede his compatriot Ajay Jayaram and he grabbed a berth at Olympics.
While talking about his participation in the Olympics, Kashyap said that it is a dream came true for him.
However, he also expressed sorry for his compatriot Jayaram for not qualifying in the mega event.
He stated, “Jayaram is a great competitor but I peaked at the right time. I would have liked to go to the Olympics on my own rather than the way I did, but I take it.”
While talking about his prospects at Olympics, Kashyap said that he is determined to do his very best.
The Indian also said that playing against Chinese player is never easy as they have a huge variety and he needs to play differently against them.
He added, “Chinese have a lot of variety, there is a production line of great players coming from there. I would have to tackle them each differently and I will try my best.”
Kashyap also expressed that he has been performing well for the last few months and got a wonderful form at the right time just ahead of Olympics.
He said, “I am coming into form at the right time and my first aim is to reach the top 10. For that I need to focus on my fitness and I need to play longer rallies.”
Kashyap has got all skills to challenge the top shuttlers of the world and according to many he will put up superb show by playing to his maximum potential at the London Olympics.
