Pascal Dupraz was not a happy man on Saturday, as he saw his side slump to a defeat, despite scoring two early goals against OGC Nice. The Frenchman was disappointed by his players, who exhibited lacklustre after gaining an early lead that eventually led
to their 9th defeat of the season.
Evian took an early lead as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yannick-Sagbo-c37216 and Cedric Barbosa scored two goals within the first 20 minutes of the Ligue 1 fixture. However, it proved too hard for the visitors to maintain their lead, as they conceded three goals after regular intervals.
Dupraz was furious at the embarrassing defeat to Les Aiglons at the Stade Municipal du Ray. The coach feels that a last minute defeat is very disappointing, especially when you have dominated the opponents earlier in the game. He said:
“When Nice came back, I was not happy. And when we lose in the last minute, you can imagine my disappointment, especially given our situation.”
The Frenchman praised the quality of football displayed from both sides, at different occasions throughout the game. Although the coach highlighted the technical mistakes of his players, he didn’t hesitate to mention the errors made by the referee during
the game. The former FC Sochaux-Montbeliard player stated:
“It was a great game of football, with errors from the referee and the players. There were situations which should have allowed us to win the game.”
However, the 50-year-old tactician doesn’t necessarily blame the officials, as he believes it’s a part of the game. Dupraz went on to state that every manager should accept and respect the decisions of the referees, because they’re also human beings who
tend to make mistakes, and without them there cannot be a game of football. The Annemasse-born coach said:
“Refereeing mistakes are part of the game, and those who don't accept that should jobs. Without a referee, we can't have a game of football.”
