http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 assistant manager, Colin Pascoe, believes that his club are headed in the right direction, despite their slow start to the campaign.
The Reds played out a 1-1 draw at Sunderland on Saturday, meaning that they are yet to record their first win in EPL this season.
Earlier, the Merseyside outfit suffered a shock 3-0 hammering from West Bromwich Albion, and were also seconded 2-0 by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 at their own backyard.
The result on Saturday also meant that it was the first time in almost 100 years that Liverpool have failed to record a win in their first four league games.
Even though the stats present a gloomy picture, the Anfield number 2 was confident that the club were headed in the right direction.
He insisted that there were plenty of positives to be picked up from their draw against the Black Cats, and it was still too early to seek SOS measures.
Despite having dominated a good portion of the game, the Reds fell behind in the first half through a Steven Fletcher goal.
However, Luis Suarez came to the rescue of his team, as he slotted home the equalizer in the second period to limit the damage.
“We're producing good football and with the way the lads passed the ball around and created chances, we were just unfortunate [not to get the win],” he told the reporters.
“We don't look at the table - we're just looking at every game and how we perform. In every game, we've got better and better.”
The Reds will be desperate to make amends for their dismal start to the season when they take on Manchester United on Sunday. However, currently, they will be focused on their upcoming Europa League meeting with the Young Boys on Thursday.
Speaking of their opponents on Thursday, Pascoe felt that it was pertinent that his side plays to their full potential. He pointed out that every game in Europe is a tough one, and they should not expect anything for granted.
“It'll be a strong test. They're mid-table, they play 4-3-3 and it'll be a hard game out there. Any game away in Europe is always going to be hard,” he added.
