True, you pass time when you're bored, but "past time" is incorrect.  The word you (and the OP) are looking for is "pastime".  Yes, that's a word - look it up in a dictionary.  

You pass time when you're bored.  You get tired when it is past time for bed.  Sightseeing is a favourite pastime.
