Passato expected to prevail in Bath Ales Swan Handicap
Passato is likely to prevail in the Bath Ales Swan Handicap at Bath in England on Friday, June 8, 2012. A cash prize of £1,617 will be given to the winner of the class-6 race.
The stamina of all runners will be put to a test, as the overall distance to cover is 1 mile, 5 furlongs and 22 yards. The action is scheduled to start at 21:10 GMT and following entries have been confirmed: Passato, Delagoa Bay, Eastern Magic, Perfect Buttons,
El Libertador, Bute Street, Captain Oats, Bashama, Ildiko, Laser Blazer, Reillys Daughter and Party Palace.
Out of the above mentioned runners Laser Blazer, Reillys Daughter, El Libertador and Party Palace might not be seen in action today, as they are not suited to these track conditions.
Looking at the performances of Passato, it seems that no one will be able to match him in the race today. He has got a lot of experience and has been delivering some terrific results over the past few months. This will definitely help him attract a lot of
bets from the punters.
The eight-year-old gelding has participated in 45 races until now, winning eight of them and finishing runner up on six times. In addition to that, he has also secured the third place on a couple of occasions.
Importantly, the Jo Davis’ trainee is carrying excellent momentum at the moment. He was victorious in his most recent outing, which suggests that he will be full of confidence today. He was rated favourite last time and lived up to the expectations of everyone.
Passato will be partnered by seasoned jockey, James Doyle, who has enjoyed a lot of success at this level. However, his strike rate is on the lower side, which will be a cause of concern for his fans.
Other than the race favourite, Eastern Magic might also manage to attract a few bets in his favour. He does not have a lot of experience, as he has only taken part in 11 races. Moreover, he has never managed to win any event. The best he could manage was
the runner up spot once whereas secured the third place on the same number of times.
