  1. I guess it's a typo.

    It should be ont, not ent.

    Plus your accents are missing (did you know that you can type the accents on a PC with a US keyboard. To get an accute, you press the key to the right of the colon before typing the letter. To get a grave accent, you press they key to the left of the one).

    But for some reason, it doesn' t work with Yahoo, but I have a keyboard with accents.

    Oh, and there is another mistake. Depending on whether they called several friends or just one, it should be leurs copains (with an s for plural) or leur copain (no s on leur, singular).

    So,

    Ils ont téléphoné à leurs copains (or leur copain).

  2. it's not "ent", it's "ont" : ils ont téléphoné à leur copain ( if there is one friend  ) or  ils ont téléphoné à leurs copains ( if there is many friends ).

    I hope i helped you... bye

  3. Your sentence:

    "Ils ent telephone a leurs copain."

    has 2 typos.

    The sentence

    "Ils ont te'le'phone' a` leurs copains"

    -> The called their friends.
