Passenger door stuck shut!?

I have a 2003 Mazda 626 and as of about 3 months ago..the passenger door will NOT open. It happened randomly..will not open from the inside or the outside and I have taken it to 3 body shops and they say they are "afraid" to tamper with it..in the event that if they get it open, it will not close again. I have power locks if that helps and the door still locks and unlocks; just does not open at all. What do I do? This is super annoying and inconvenient and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions?

....sounds to me like the linkage simply came off inside the door......usually a simple fix .   HOWEVER the inner door panel must come off to do the repair..(this means the door will have to be opened one way or another.)......it is VERY unsafe to drive a car with doors that cannot open properly in case of an accident or an emergency....  for a quick escape
