Okay in my league our scoring system is:
6 for all touchdowns
-2 for INT's
1 for 25 yds passing
1 for 10 yds rushing
1 for 10 yds receiving.
Roster is:
1 QB
2 WR
2 RB
1 TE
1 WR/RB
So with my 4th overall pick LT and AP are gone. Let's assume Tom Brady is gone to for the experiment. Now i'm asking you to check my math here. Let's say I can take Romo. I'll project his stats at:
4000 yards....250 per game
32 TD (36 last year)....2 per game
16 INT's (19 last year)....1 per game
( these are nice round numbers for a 16 game season)
10 points for yards
12 points for TD
-2 for INT
= 20PTS per game
Steven Jackson/Joseph Addai/Other RB
Let's assume they have these stats:
1600 yards (1300 rushing, 300 rec)......100 yds per game
16 TD's (13 rush, 3 rec)...... 1 per game
10 points for yards
6 for touchdown
(fumbles only deduct if the fumble is lost)
= 16 pts
Owens/Moss
Stats:
1600 rec yards....100 per game
16 TD's.....1 per game
= 16 PTS
Remember that I have the 4th overall pick. Scoring type is head-to-head.
I assume 1,2,3 will go LT,AP, and Brady. Brady doubtful but just being safe. I think the stats are fair. There are 8 total teams. I have 4th pick, 12th pick, and 19 pick. With that, please suggest on if I should take a QB with 4. If not who should I take and who can I get at 12 or 19. If so, what RB or WR can I get at 12 and 19. Thanks!
