Passive smoking - dogs?

Can dogs, or any other pets, be affected (cancer) by passive smoking in the same way as humans?

  1. Absolutely. You wouldn't smoke in front of your kids, so please don't smoke in front of your pets.

    I just rescued an Amazon Parrot who has emphsyma because his previous owner smoked around him.

    I am a smoker, but always smoke outside, because I don't want the damage I do to myself extend to my loved ones.


  2. Yes,my mother smoked and both my beagle and my Chihuahua got chronic bronchitis from it. It can also cause cancer in dogs,cats and other animals.

  6. Absolutely! and I seen dogs in my clinic that are. My own mom's cat died of lung cancer
