In 2002 while I was in the U.S. I made myself a passport at the Polish Embassy in Chicago. In August I'm going to Canada.

Will I have any problems at the border? Or would it be better if I just made a new passport?

  1. Citizens of some countries need a visa to enter Canada.  Check the Canadian immigration site.  If you have a valid passport what you need to do is check to see if you also need a visa.  If you are Polish I don't think you need a visa.  Here is the link you need.

  2. you made a passport out of what....

If you have your ID and your visa, you shouldn't have a problem crossing from Detroit to Windsor.

  3. How often do you have to renew your passport? Canadian passports are renewed every five years, and if you do not have status in the US you will have problems entering Canada, especially with an expired passport and no Visa
