Passport Application (Parents Birthdate)?

I just filled out the passport application and realized I forgot to put my parents birthdate. I already handed everything in to the post office and paid the fine. Is the parents birthdate really important and could they refuse to send my passport if they realize this?

When they process your application, the passport agent may call you to get that information from you if it's missing.  I hope you put the correct phone number there.  90% chance they'll call you.

of course it is important to fill out the parents ids, since you omitted to do so, please try to get in touch as soon as possible and correct this....

of course since your application is not complete? the passport cannot be released.
