  1. Yes. It costs a bundle.

    But if you personally visit your pp office and tell them - and prove - that it is an emergency they usually treat your case as special and it is not uncommon for them to turned things around in 24 hours. Yes, it happened to me when I had an unavoidable emerg. I did not pay anything extra.

    So why pay when it is your right to get a pp, provided you qualify?
